The story · Omega, est. 1848

A Seamaster Diver 300M worth waiting for.

Omega introduced the Seamaster in 1948 and the Diver 300M in 1993. Two years later it went to the cinema on James Bond's wrist in GoldenEye, and it has stayed there since. Inside, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement, certified by METAS to resist magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.

Founded in 1848 and based in Biel/Bienne, Omega made the Speedmaster that went to the Moon and has timed the Olympic Games for decades. Every Omega we list is opened, its Co-Axial calibre checked against the reference, and timed on the bench before it reaches you.

From our workshop

Inspected before it was listed

Five checks. This one passed all five.

  1. The Calibre

    Passed

We open the caseback and examine the movement. Every part must be genuine and correct for that exact reference.

  2. The Heartbeat

    Passed

The balance and escapement are timed on a timegrapher in several positions, so you know it keeps time before you wear it.

  3. The Dial

    Passed

Correct printing, correct lume, correct finish. A refinished or service dial is always disclosed, never hidden.

  4. The Case

    Passed

Serial and reference must sit exactly where the maison put them, and match the papers. Any polishing is noted.

  5. The Bracelet

    Passed

Clasp and end-link codes checked, stretch measured and disclosed, every link cleaned by hand.
